Description

MATTHEW SLADE is a San Francisco investigator and his secretary, Lorretta Jones, is referred to by all as “Jonesy.” Slade’s local pal in the Homicide Bureau, Sgt. Sid Donelli, appears in nearly all episodes. Slade charges clients “$200 a day plus expences”, drives a Continental, and ends up in some rather exotic adventures. In one program, a model named Clover Shannon is killed by one of 12 members of an exclusive “Bachelor’s Club”. In another, Slade is tortured by a crazed German scientist, who has imprisoned Slade in his castle near Lake Tahoe.
